a late thanksgiving....

As in...giving thanks. why i'm thankful, grateful and have been darn right blessed in the last 8 months (short version). aka sappy blog post :)

This morning Mark and I had a chance to hang out with Galeana and her son Gray at the Japanese Tea Gardens. We had a great time talking about dogs, sugary breakfast cereals, and Indiana Jones :)

a week in review :)

This week has brought all sorts of changes good, scary, happy and sad.....It's now Sunday evening which just seems like the perfect time to share a few pictures of my weekend :)


I was an assistant/second photographer Saturday for Brian Fitzsimmons. Brian is a fabulous photographer based out of Austin. We hung out with the lovely Nikki and Austin for a beautiful afternoon ceremony and reception. I had soo much fun shooting a wedding that was so very different for me!

Joe n' Sarah are engaged !!!

i met Sarah and Joe through Mark. Sarah works at Olmos Perk coffee shop where seeing her smile first thing in the morning as become one of the highlights of my daily routine! Joe and Sarah have been engaged about a month and are looking to set their wedding date for this time next year (i can't wait!!). This morning we hung out at the Japanese Tea Gardens, Brackenridge Park and then grabbed a drink at Olmos Perk. Thanks guys!! I had soo much fun :) here's a few shots from today....

while finishing up Bob and Monica's Wedding pictures i realized how much i truly heart b&w photos! I had fond flash backs to having dektol and stop bath up to my eyeballs in the darkroom! Here's a few.....i heart.

Last night mark and hung out with Bob and Monica while they threw a great party, oh and got married :) The ceremony was outside at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens followed by a rocking party at the Radisson hotel downtown. Thanks guys letting us share your big day with you, we had a blast!

I had the privilege of photographing the beautiful  and fabulous fellow photographer Carli (inkedfingers.com) this morning!  Every girl needs some photographs of her in her bridal gown!  And since this girl didn't,  I thought that I must take matters into my own hands and change that!  I had a blast with her this morning out at her house in Cibolo, her husband John made the bouquet and made a great "art director" (thanks John!!).  Here's a few of the shots....

Soooo mark and i finally cashed in 2 gift cards we got for a wedding and Christmas gift and bought a beautiful piece of Le Creuset cookware. mark cooked us a fab meal last night that we made into our main event for the evening. i couldn't help but take a few shots..... i thought i'd share!

long time coming.....

Hello!!! welcome to lemon yellow black's NEW bloggy blog! i am excited about putting all the newest and most exciting news and updates here... sooo make sure and make checking in here a habit!

On August 30th i had the privilege of photographing Melba and David's wedding at the inn on the riverwalk. i met Melba and her daughters at her beautiful roon at The Hotel Contessa to catch a few shots of the ladies before heading over to the inn. the lovely ceramony took place on the steps leading down to the riverwalk....sooo pretty!  All this packed into an hour and a half... sooo much fun!

Then.....the very next day mark and i met up with Robert and Monica in Austin to take some pictures on Mt. Bonnell. it was sooooooooo hot!!! they both were such good sports, never once letting the heat get in the way of smiling and having fun! Their amazing natural chemistry made them a pleasure to photograph! Can't wait for their September, 20th wedding! Thanks to Mark for coming along and sweating it out with us in the August sun!
